Join us for an informal Yale career and post-Yale journey conversation with four Yale College alumni: Alán Díaz-Santana ’18, Ava Tomasula y Garcia ’17, Nicolas Aramayo ’17, and Ivetty Estepan ‘18. Below are their bios. This event is co-sponsored by La Casa Cultural and it will be moderated by Yale Professor Moira Fradinger.
Alán Díaz-Santana ’18 (he/his) is a teaches high school geography in Alamo, TX and is an Executive Board Member, American Federation of Teachers.
Ava Tomasula y Garcia ’17 (she/her) is a PhD Candidate at Columbia University. She formerly was an Immigration and Labor Organizer with Centro de Trabajadores Unidos.
Nicolas Aramayo ‘17 (they/them) is a paralegal with ACLU’s Human Rights Program, and they do a lot of organizing, educating, and facilitating around racial justice, gender affirming healthcare, and labor issues.
Ivetty Estepan ‘18 (she/hers) is the Director of Partnerships & Community Outreach at Upsolve & a Social impact Adviser at Inspire Justice. Most of her work surrounds applying sociological frameworks to build diversity, equity, and inclusion for marginalized communities across different industries.
This is the final event as part of the collaborative Career Conversations series with the Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies and the European Studies Council.
