Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies Photo Competition

The Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies invites Yale Students who have conducted academic travel, research, or internship experiences in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, or Portugal to submit photographs taken during their experiences for the first CLAIS Photo Competition. The photos can have been taken anytime during time abroad in 2018, or spring break 2019.

Deadline for submission: Friday, March 29, 2019

To be eligible for this competition, students must meet one of these two requirements:

  1. Be a current Graduate or Professional School student at Yale who conducted academic activities or research in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain or Portugal.
  2. Be a current Yale College student who has conducted any academic activity or research in in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain or Portugal (whether it was or was not supported financially by the Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies).

Prizes will be given out in both the Graduate/Professional School Student Division and the Yale College Division.

Selected photographs will be selected from all submissions to be printed and displayed publically at the CLAIS Photography Contest Exhibition on April 9, 2019 at Henry R. Luce Hall Common Room (34 Hillhouse Avenue). Winners will be announced at the exhibition on April 9, 2019.
