Global Affairs

Beatrice is a Latina undergraduate from Colombia at Yale-NUS College. She has been living in Singapore for nearly a third of her life but studied in French International schools throughout her academic career. Fully trilingual and hoping to finish learning Chinese in the future, she believes that transnational partnerships and multi-sectoral cooperation is crucial for solving “super-wicked problems” such as climate change. She is interested in interdisciplinary learning and hence is completing a major in Global Affairs and a minor Environmental studies which speak to each other through her main interest: sustainable development. She is still trying to figure out the true meanings of sustainability and development. She hopes to contribute towards achieving these goals in her homeland and in Latin America.
