Environmental Studies

Beverley is a third year Environmental Studies major at Yale-NUS College. She hails from Singapore and is passionate about intersectional and decolonial studies, climate change, and social justice, particularly in Southeast Asia and Latin America. Beverley hopes to bridge the two regions by exploring areas for collaboration and shared learning across these topics and is especially interested in alternative sociopolitical/economic systems and forms of community that support socioeconomic wellbeing without compromising the regions’ rich local and Indigenous traditions, cultures, and biodiversity. In her free time, she loves to paint, play soccer, and be in nature.

Intersectional environmentalism, climate action, decoloniality; Latin America and Southeast Asia
