Nico is a senior in Trumbull College in the Cognitive Science and Human Rights programs. His Peruvian and Latin American heritage has informed much of his thinking throughout his time at Yale. Nico has broad academic interests, ranging from psychology and critical theory to religion and literature. Within these fields, he enjoys investigating the myriad effects of memory, migration, and trauma. Outside of the classroom, he is a research assistant at the Clinical Affective Neuroscience and Development Lab, tutors Spanish and German through the Center for Language Study, and is a Dwight Hall Community Mental Health Fellow. He speaks Spanish, English, French, German, and is learning Korean. In his free time, Nico likes to read, hike, and work on his letterpress printing.
