Prizewinning Ecuadorian novelist Mónica Ojeda (Guayaquil, 1988) is the author of seven books of New Gothic fiction, of which Mandíbula (Jawbone, 2018) and her latest, Chamanes eléctricos en la fiesta del sol (Electric Shamans at the Festival of the Sun, 2024) have become bestsellers. Ojeda currently works on her Ph.D. thesis in Madrid.

Venezuelan critic and poet Gustavo Guerrero is Professor of Latin American literature at University of Cergy-Paris, and Sciences-Po Saint Germain in Laye, and is the editorial advisor in foreign literatures for the major French publishing house, Gallimard.
