The Latin American Interdisciplinary Gender Network (LAIGN) strives to be open to all scholars, including faculty, post-docs, and graduate students, working on gender studies in the Americas. If you would like to join LAIGN as a member, please email the network at laign@yale.edu with a copy of your resume and a description of which working group best aligns with your research and interests.
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the Executive Committee in consultation with the coordinator(s) of your chosen working group.
If your membership to the group you chose is not approved, it may be because your interests do not align with the working group’s mission or goals. In this case, you will be asked to choose another group or to see if you would like to be included in a listserv for future communications, including expansion to the working groups and/or areas in the network.
Undergraduate students and others who are seriously considering research are welcome to be involved as affiliates in LAIGN. As an affiliate, you would be a part of the membership listserv for communications regarding events and programs. Please write to laign@yale.edu with your research interest(s) and a copy of your resume.

La Red Latinoamericana de Estudios Interdisciplinarios de Género en América Latina (LAIGN) está abierta a todos los integrantes – profesoras, profesores, estudiantes postdoctorales, y estudiantes de doctorado – quienes trabajan sobre temas de género en las Américas. Si usted quiere unirse a LAIGN como integrante, por favor mande un correo a laign@yale.edu con su CV y un breve resumen acerca del grupo de trabajo mejor alineado con su investigación y intereses.
Una vez que hayamos recibido su aplicación, el Comité Ejecutivo consultará con el coordinador o la coordinadora del grupo de trabajo señalado en la aplicación.
Si la aplicación para la membresía no se aprueba, es probable que sea porque sus intereses no se alinean con la misión o las metas del grupo. En este caso, usted puede solicitar unirse a otro grupo de trabajo o recibir nuestras noticias y comunicaciones a través de nuestro boletín, donde incluimos nuevas oportunidades como expansión en el número de grupos de trabajos y áreas en la red.
Lxs estudiantes de licenciatura y otrxs que piensan capacitarse en investigación están bienvenidxs a integrarse como afiliadxs de LAIGN. Los y las integrantes reciben nuestras comunicaciones sobre eventos y programas. Por favor escriba a laign@yale.edu con su área de interés e investigación y su CV.
