Yale Tango Club Dances in Luce Hall!

September 11, 2023

The Yale Tango Club is a club at Yale University that aims to connect the Yale community through Argentine Tango. Argentine Tango is a partnered social dance that emphasizes connection, movement and musicality. Students from the Yale tango club dance tango twice a week, having practices on Thursdays, and classes on Sundays.

In addition to classes and practices, they also host a lot of parties, and fun tango events. In the month of September, they have been practicing in different locations at Yale. On September 7, the club hosted a practice at Luce Hall in collaboration with the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies (CLAIS) at the MacMillan Center. In the practice at Luce Hall, students danced lots of tango but also had the opportunity to socialize with others in the common room. Rafael, a student from the club mentioned about the event: “It is always exciting to dance in a different location, especially with the friendly, kind and energetic community of people that are part of the club.”

The Yale Tango Club events are open only to Yale-affiliates. If you want to learn more about the the Yale tango club, you can check our website or Instagram.
