Jana Krentz recieves the 2019 José Toribio Medina Award

The Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials awarded the 2019 José Toribio Medina Award to  Jana Lee Krentz,  Librarian for the Latin American & Iberian Collections, Latinx Studies Latin American & Iberian Collections, and her co-editor Gayle Ann Williams, for their book, Latin American Collection Concepts: Essays on Libraries, Collaborations, and New Approaches. The book was described as providing “bold arguments on the relevance of Latin American Studies and Latin American Collections in the 21st century – essays and arguments that can be shared with library managers for policy making and advocacy for Latin Americana.” The Award was presented on June 25th by Antonio Sotomayor, Chair of the José Toribio Medina Award Advisory Panel.
