Daniella is a junior in Morse College majoring in Comparative Literature and the History of Art. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, her Cuban-American identity inspired her passion for the Spanish language and the literary art of translation. Her passion for language, art, and culture has taken Daniella beyond a focus on Spanish works, to explore cross-cultural influences and periods in the Iberian Peninsula. Presently, she is interested in studying the arts, architecture, and poetry of Andalusia during the medieval period. Her other interests include 20th-century Spanish and Latin American Literature, Mesoamerican Art, and literary translation.
