Murilo was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. He is interested in computational modeling, public health, sociology, and how those areas can come together to address the humanitarian challenges that his country faces. To do so, he believes it is necessary to understand people holistically – from the music they like to the social structures that subject them. During this unusual year he has been working remotely at a bioinformatics lab, diving into Brazilian social and legal thought, and exploring his newfound love for cooking.
