Suyeon Lee is a graduating senior at Yale-NUS College, majoring in Global Affairs and minoring in Anthropology. Her academic interest focuses on various historical and contemporary forced migration situations around the world, especially the ones that Latin American countries provided protection for. Suyeon has currently worked on a project that looks into Los Niños de Morelia, unaccompanied minor refugees who fled from the Spanish Civil War to Mexico’s Cardenas regime in the late 1930s. Before working on these projects, she studied the Spanish language in Spain, Ecuador, and Cuba.
